Kickstart Scheme vacancies

The Shrimps are recruiting for various positions through the Government’s Kickstart Scheme.

Morecambe FC are on the lookout for a Media Assistant and an Assistant Groundsperson to work alongside the Club.  

The Kickstart Scheme provides funding to employers to create jobs for 16 to 24-year-olds on Universal Credit with the Government providing further funding for training and support so that young people involved in the scheme can get a job in future. 

Media Assistant

The successful candidate will assist the Head of Media and Communications in raising the profile of all areas of Morecambe Football Club, including the First Team, Academy, Community Sports and Events.

The position offers 25 hours of work per week and includes working days which will include evening and weekend matchdays which will be discussed with the applicant.   

The hourly rate of pay for this position is the national minimum wage, all details including main responsibilities, essential skills, experience, and qualifications can be found in the job description. 

Assistant Groundsperson

The successful candidate will assist the Head Groundsman, the Assistant Groundsperson will be responsible for supporting the Grounds Team in the delivery of pitch maintenance and improvement at both sites to the highest standards.

The position offers 25 hours of work per week and includes working days which will include evening and weekends.
