As part of our continued effort to improve the matchday experience we have now developed a plan which will see several improvements to the fan experience here at the Mazuma Stadium.
As part of our season ticket refund policy, we pledged to further support the Raise the Roof campaign in cooperation with the Shrimps Trust, and we are pleased to report that this has been such a success that we are able to proceed with the development which will see approximately half of the Bartercard concourse area being fully covered. We will continue to raise funds to enable further development.
Some of you will also have noticed in a recent Visitor article that we have purchased several additional catering outlets that will allow us to offer a more varied selection of products to both home and away supporters on matchdays.
Whilst these improvements are a great starting point, we wish to continue to develop the facilities at the ground and ensure a great experience for all fans attending the Mazuma stadium.
These developments obviously come at a cost, and there is a balance to be struck between investment on and off the field as we prepare to compete in League One.
It is the incredible support that we have received from fans in the form of various donations that has enabled us to start to make a number of the off-the-field improvements already.
To enable us to continue to upgrade every aspect of the matchday experience, we are putting in place a sustainable plan that will not only generate funds for stadium improvements but will also enable us to allocate the maximum funding to Stephen and the boys.
You may all remember that we made changes to our lottery back in early 2020, which have already seen us vastly improve the income that it generates, however we believe that this is an area that can be improved further.
We have therefore set ourselves a target of an extra 500 members in the next 2 months. If we achieve this on an ongoing basis it will not only enable us to complete the full length of the roof behind the Bartercard Stand, but will also enable us to install an extra bar in this area.
In addition, and in response to popular demand, we are going to commit to renewing all of the seats in the main stand over the next 3 years, starting with the rather faded red ones!
We just need 500 new lottery members to support all of this, each of whom will have the opportunity to win up to £1,000 each week plus the rollover jackpot of up to £10,000. The more quickly we reach the target of 500, the more the improvement programme can be accelerated.
