Morecambe Football Club is recruiting for the position of Head of Media and Communications.
The Shrimps are seeking an enthusiastic, creative and dedicated individual ahead of the Club’s debut season in Sky Bet League One, to join a developing and ambitious team that can offer exciting and rewarding opportunities.
The successful candidate will manage, develop and improve the Club’s media and communications department, along with being responsible for the branding, content and reputation of Morecambe Football Club across various platforms. The role will cover all men’s first team fixtures, both home and away.
The position is full time, 38 hours per week and is based at The Mazuma Stadium with opportunities for continued professional development provided.
After nine years of impeccable service, Matt Rushton has decided to leave his role as Digital Media Manager for pastures new.
Speaking of Matt’s service, co-chairman Rod Taylor said: “Matt has been a fantastic servant to the football club since he first joined as a volunteer in 2012, eventually becoming our Digital Media Manager.
“The digital content that Matt has delivered, in particular his video and graphic work, has been second to none.
“We hope that his work over the years has offered our supporters an unrivalled insight and access to the first team, culminating in our promotion winning day at Wembley.
“We wish Matt all the best in whatever he moves on to in the future!”
