Defender Ryan Delaney says he is looking forward to being back on home soil after a string of away fixtures.
The 25-year-old came back into the fold for Stephen Robinson’s side at Cheltenham Town on Tuesday night, and the Irishman cannot wait to hear the roar of the fans at the Mazuma Stadium on Saturday.
“Its been a while [since the last home game] and it has felt like it.” he said.
“You feel a noise [at home] and that noise is for you, it’s not for the opposition, it gives us all a lift and we are looking forward to Saturday.
“You see it a lot in games for home fans when we are the away team, the noise lifts them and it will be the exact same for us whenever we play at home, Saturday’s game is a big one and I know the fans will be there, getting right behind us.”
League leaders Plymouth Argyle are the visitors in Sky Bet League One at the weekend, and Delaney knows that the team will have to be at their best to get anything from the game.
He added: “They are a good team, you have to give them that, they’ve started the season excellent and they’ve obviously got some good, exciting players.
“It’ll be a good game, we are ready for the task at hand , you want to challenge yourself, especially in this league, there’s a lot of good teams and a lot of teams where you know you have to be on your game.
“Saturday is one of those days where we’ve got to be on our game.”
