Goalkeeper Jokull Andresson and midfielder Alfie McCalmont have returned to training after spending time away with their respective countries.
The latter featured once for Northern Ireland’s U21s in a 1-0 defeat to Russia on Friday evening, in their UEFA Under 21 European Championship Qualifier.
After his impressive performance for John Schofield’s side, he was called up to Ian Baraclough’s senior squad for their World Cup Qualifiers against Switzerland and Bulgaria.
Andresson was included in Iceland’s U21s squad once again, which saw him get 90 minutes under his belt against Portugal U21s.
The Strakarnir Okkar’s were defeated on the night in their UEFA Under 21 European Championship Qualifier on Tuesday night.
The result leaves Andresson and his Iceland teammates fourth in the group with plenty of matches still left to play to qualify for the 2023 finals.
