Morecambe Football Club are delighted to provide placement opportunities to Lancaster University students.
Internship positions are being provided to both the sport science and analysis departments.
Strength and conditioning coach, Chris Squirrell is looking forward to welcoming students from the university who will be a valuable addition to the support staff structure.
He said: "We are excited to develop our relationship with the university, and it’s students, to provide them with valuable work experience but also to challenge ourselves in order to continue improving.
“The students will help us to maximise the resources available to us and further enhance the quality of our first-team training programme.”
First-team analyst, Harry Taylor, believes the opportunity will provide a great experience to the students.
He added: "Lancaster University has a great reputation for its Sport and Exercise Science degree, and I’m really looking forward to working with the students.
"This placement will give them exposure to working in an elite sport environment and help prepare them for taking their next steps after university.”
