Striker Cole Stockton says he is full of confidence having received two awards in the month.
The Shrimps head to the Pirelli Stadium to take on Burton Albion on Friday night and after picking up the Player and goal of the Month awards for September, the 27-year-old is raring to go once again.
He said: “It has to give you confidence because you’re being recognised for what you’re doing.
“It is a really nice feeling getting the Player of the Month award back-to-back, it means a lot to me. If anything, it makes me even more hungry to want to go and do it again.”
Stockton says the squad have done their homework ahead of Friday night’s game against the Brewers but says the team will be focusing on themselves.
“We’ve done our work on them, we know their threats,” added Stockton.
“I’ve played with a couple of their lads, and I know their abilities as well so we’ve got to rule out their threats and focus on ourselves.”
“If we win we go 10th I think, so then you will be just sat there watching the results roll in on Saturday but we just have worry about ourselves and the rest will take care of itself.”
