Morecambe’s team of match day ball boys have been back on duty at Mazuma Stadium since the start of the Sky Bet League One campaign.
This follows a season of enforced lay-off, when fixtures were played without supporters and under Covid restrictions.
The pitch-side team of ten ball retrievers is overseen by volunteer Nikki Lambourne, who ensures they are well prepared for whatever a busy match day can throw at them.
“It’s great to be back and the boys are really enjoying the opportunity to be close to the action and experience the match day atmosphere.” says Nikki.
“We’re really grateful for the help of parents and staff at the Club in supporting the ball boy team and we look forward to a busy season ahead.”
