Bedeau: Proving We Can Hold Our Own

11 December 2022

Jacob Bedeau is hopeful the side can take confidence from recent performances, proving they are a side that is becoming difficult to beat, but admits three points are crucial as we reach the half-way point of the season.

The Shrimps are unbeaten in four home league matches, stretching back to late October, picking up crucial points against the likes of Derby County, Portsmouth and Barnsley in that time.

Bedeau, who has made 24 appearances for the side already this season, admits the side have real belief going into the busy Christmas schedule.

"The majority of the teams we've played against recently have been high up in the league, so even though there's been a fair few draws, I think we've got to take some positives," he said.

"There's been a few matches in the recent run where I think we could have picked up three points given how we played, so we can take the positives from that. We know we can come up against some of the better sides in this division and hold our own and cause them problems.

"It's getting to that point in the season now where every point counts, so we really need to make sure we start picking up those all-important victories. We've drawn a lot of matches lately, so three points are really crucial and as a group we are confident of turning some of these draws into wins between now and the end of the season."
