Skipper Anthony O’Connor says the Shrimps have proven they can match any side in Sky Bet League One.
Morecambe are back in action on home soil when they welcome Bolton Wanderers to the Mazuma Stadium on Saturday 5 February.
"There are lots of big teams in League One this season, but we’ve shown coming up against supposedly bigger teams or bigger clubs than ourselves that we are more than a match for them,” he said.
“We’ve proved that plenty of times this season, there have been plenty of games that we should have taken points from but we haven’t done.
“Going back to the start of the season, we were kind of up and down, whereas in the last few weeks, we’ve kind of been a lot more consistent.”
Ahead of a big run of games for Morecambe in February, the 29-year-old said the team don’t put pressure on themselves that way.
He added: “Thats been going on for weeks, we say that all the time.
"We say ‘this is a big run of games coming up’ and we don’t put pressure on ourselves that way.
“We put pressure on ourselves to try and get points from every game so Saturday is just another game for us but we are under no illusions that we are coming up against another good team.
“We are a decent team ourselves when we’re bang at it so we’ll be looking to put it all together on Saturday and hopefully have a good result.”
