Gnahoua enjoying his football

31 January 2022

Forward Arthur Gnahoua is enjoying his football and admits that playing alongside a player like Cole Stockton has helped him improve his game.

The 29-year-old has played in 29 games in all competition this season, and says he is determined to net a few more goals for himself before the end of the campaign.

He said: “It is always good to be playing games, that’s what you want as a footballer, I am really enjoying my football at the minute and I am looking forward to the games to come.

“Playing alongside someone like Cole [Stockton] helps you improve your game, you always want to try and get the ball to him so he can go on and score, hopefully I can start getting myself some goals as well.

“We work hard all over the pitch, the attacking side and the defending side of things have got better but we need to be more consistent if we are to pick up more points throughout the season.”

The Shrimps travel to Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday night looking for another repeat of their 1-0 win back in August, and Gnahoua says the side can take confidence from that win.

He added: “It will be another difficult game, all games at this level are tough, we have to treat them like we would any other game and hopefully we can pick up some more points away from home.

“We’ve beaten them already this season but that was a long time ago, we have to be confident going into this game, and if we do that I am sure we can come out with three points.

“I am looking forward to playing there, it will be my first time, I’ve heard it is a big pitch, so will will have to work even harder, but I am confident that we can get the job done.”
