Following the recent appointment of our Ground Safety Officer, Morecambe FC are now actively seeking a Deputy Ground Safety Officer.
The role will assist the Ground Safety Officer in ensuring, as far as reasonably possible, the safety of everyone attending events at The Mazuma Stadium, in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Safety Certificate and the Club’s Policy Statement of Spectator Safety, and to deputise for the Ground Safety Officer in his/her absence.
In doing so, they will play a key role as a part of MFC’s proactive Safety Team, and support and contribute to the Club’s ambition of being competitive and sustainable in Sky Bet League One.
Ideally, candidates should have Public Order experience from event-based practice/background, to compliment and enhance the experience of our existing safety team. The successful candidate will play a crucial part in the next chapter of one of the most exciting stories in professional football.
This role is part time, with most work taking place on match and event days – regular Saturday’s and Tuesday’s throughout the football season – July to May annually.
