Morecambe FC Academy returns with a trio of Development Centres this summer, offering quality coaching to talented young footballers across the local area.
From this season, there will be three Development Centre sessions each week, providing opportunities to U5-U13 (Reception to Year 8) players wishing to develop their football and life skills in a friendly and enjoyable environment.
New for 2022 are weekly indoor sessions for U5-U6 and U7-U8 age groups at Bay Leadership Academy on Monday evenings.
These separate sessions will enable smaller groups to focus on individual technical aspects and team activities.
On Wednesday evenings, there will be weekly sessions at Lancaster & Morecambe College 3G for U9 to U13 players, which will cover technical and tactical aspects of the game.
Sessions start the week commencing 8 August 2022 and can be booked in 10 week blocks. Advanced booking is essential as places are limited.
The Development Centre runs alongside the Club's Academy and sessions will be delivered by FA and UEFA qualified coaches.
Kane Harding, the Assistant Foundation Phase Lead at Morecambe FC Academy, said: “We can’t wait to get back on the training ground with the Development Centres and it’s exciting to be extending the range of opportunities we offer this season.
“For gifted and talented players, the Development Centres can offer a pathway into our Pre-Academy or trials with the Academy, but we look forward to welcoming all those who wish to improve their game in a setting which is engaging and fun.”
