Morecambe Football Club is delighted to announce that we have teamed up with the fan culture merchandising brand ‘The Terrace’, to become our new Retail Operations partner.
Following their extremely successful partnership with Bristol Rovers this season, The Terrace will power both our online store and Club Shop at the Mazuma Stadium.
A brand that will be well known to our supporters, The Terrace continues to grow rapidly, with an innovative and fresh approach to supporter merchandise, predominantly providing licensed retro and contemporary football culture merchandise, to football fans across the world.
The Terrace have already been licensed to recreate famous kits from past eras, which Shrimps fans have been snapping up this season, including a host of products including retro shirts, gifts and accessories.
The company also supported the Club this season with sleeve sponsorship for our First Round Emirates FA Cup tie against Newport County, which they generously donated to local charity Team Reece.
For our supporters, this will mean new a brand new online store, a new feel across the Club Shop, new products released regularly and an enhanced focus on fan involvement in the retail process.
Head of Commercial, Martin Thomas said: “We are delighted to expand our partnership with The Terrace, which will see them take on the newly formed role of Retail Operations partner.
“We have been in partnership with Carl and the rest of the team at The Terrace for the last 12 months with licensed products, all of which have been a great success, with them bringing in some great new ranges available to our supporters.
"Over the past 18 months, we have seen sales figures grow consistently across our online store and the Club Shop, as supporters spending and purchasing habits have adapted in light of the pandemic.
“The COVID-19 pandemic has been a challenging time for retail in the UK, however with the help of The Terrace and our technical partner Joma, we have bucked the trend.
"While we have made significant progress over the past few years with our with our products on offer, this move will enhance them further. Whilst we appreciated that this year’s stock has been limited this has been due to increased demand and supply chain difficulties, with The Terrace now becoming our retail partner, this will enable faster turnarounds and also new lines added every month.
“The move will also see personalisation added to our store in time for next season. Currently stock is very low on all training and replica merchandise in preparation for the new kit launch in June this year, which will again see new and innovative kits from Joma being available. In the build up to this process in the coming weeks you will be able to blind pre-order your 2022/23 replica kits, so they are with you on the day of release.
"We are making plans to re-open the Stadium store on Monday 28th March at 1pm, and work has gone into making the retail experience the best it can be for everyone visiting on a matchday and beyond. The Terrace will formulate new and exclusive products and take an active role in the provision of more consistent offers across our retail range.”
