The young Shrimps made it back-to-back wins at the weekend, as goals from Callum Sandle, Jamie Nicholson and Jack McKean secured three points on home soil against Blackpool U18s.
It was an action packed first-half with both teams were creating chances, before Morecambe took the lead in the opening 15 minutes of the game.
Blackpool’s defence held strong until the 12th minute when striker Sandle, found himself latching onto a cross from Adam Mayor and netting an early opener to put the Shrimps 1-0 up.
Just 10 minutes later, the Tangerines were back on level terms. Arnold Matshazi found the back of the Shrimps' net, slotting away a penalty after a foul in the box.
The visitors picked up the pace and had a short spell on the ball before the break, with a couple of good chances from their strikers, but the Shrimps’ keeper remained untroubled.
As the half-time whistle was approaching, Nicholson came in from the right and curled the ball into the far corner, steering Morecambe ahead.

The second-half picked up where the first ended, with both teams pushing for another goal.
With less than 10 minutes to go, the young Shrimps found a way to wrap the game up, as Nicholson played the ball into the box, where U16s player McKean was ready to hit it home.
As time was running out, Blackpool had a couple of last-minute chances but were unsuccessful in finding the net.
The U18s had great work ethic and played some excellent football, they head into their next league game with three back-to-back wins.
