Ousmane Fané admits there is a real desire within the squad to build on last weekend’s victory.
The midfielder has made 19 appearances so far this season, playing the full 90 minutes in Saturday’s win over Barnsley, and believes the Shrimps were worthy of the three points.
“I think it was a good result for all of us,” he said.
“It was a really positive performance from the team in general, and I think I gave my all in the game.
"We all put in a good shift, and the win meant a lot, so I think we can use that feeling going forward in upcoming matches.
“We’re of course aware of the current situation and where we are in the league table, and I think the supporters were the 12th man on Saturday.
"They really helped us over the line, and hopefully that win can be a turning-point for us.”
With the victory coming at an opportune time ahead of an away double-header at both Cheltenham and Wycombe this week, Fane is hoping the side can add more points to their tally over the course of the next few matches.
“There is a real motivation from all of us to give our all,” he said.
“We want to compete as best as we can in this league, and there are some big clubs in League One.
"We need to take the positives from recent performances, like Barnsley and Forest Green, and we need to remain positive and be confident.
“Every game is different, but we need to go and try to win as many matches as we can starting with Cheltenham on Tuesday.”
