Morecambe Football Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Dale Pryde-MacDonald as our new Head of Media & Communications.
Dale, who spent almost 4 years in the same role at Ross County Football Club, in the Scottish Premiership, joins with experience of leading the media & communications of a club similar in size and infrastructure to Morecambe FC.
Joining the club today, Dale will be overseeing the continued development and progression of all media and communications on behalf of the Club, ably assisted by Matt Smith who has been a hugely important part of the team for a significant period of time, and will continue to be so.
The role will also look to further integrate the communications of our Academy and Community work over the coming weeks and months.
On his appointment, Dale said, “I am very proud to be joining Morecambe FC.
"This is an exciting, new challenge for me personally and one I cannot wait to get stuck in to.
"When you look at what this club has achieved in the last 25 years under Jim Harvey, Sammy McIlroy, Jim Bentley and Derek Adams, there is a fantastic story to be told and one that really resonates with me.”
He added: “Invariably when supporters feel closer to their club it translates into success on and off the field and that is a key aspect of this role.
"Hopefully I can deliver on the objectives set internally and in doing so it helps us to strengthen our connections with our loyal fanbase.”
CEO Ben Sadler also commented: “We are thrilled to welcome Dale to the team here at Morecambe.
"Following Harry Lyons' departure to Blackpool last month, we acted quickly to secure Dale’s services, and I am confident he will be a great fit here and will continue to drive our Media & Communications department forwards, along with our outstanding team of Matt Smith, Jack Taylor & Derek Quinn.”
