Crowley: I Couldn’t Have Asked For Anything More

29 January 2023

Dan Crowley says he was delighted with his home debut as the Shrimps brushed aside Bristol Rovers at the Mazuma Stadium.

Crowley joined the Shrimps at the beginning of January and impressed on his home debut with a goal and two assists to his name.

The midfielder said the 5-1 win over the Gas was a great day for the club.

“It was an amazing result,” he said.

“I’m delighted to get on the scoresheet and get two assists as well, I couldn’t have asked for anything more.

“It was a great day, especially after Tuesday, we didn’t dwell on it, we moved past it.

“The lads are great lads and we put it behind us and put it right today.”

Crowley assisted Cole Stockton’s second goal of the season and the Shrimps’ fourth of the afternoon.

The 25-year-old played an exquisite through ball to Stockton who raced in on goal to beat Rovers’ keeper Ellery Balcombe, and Crowley was full of praise for the Shrimps number nine.

“It’s easy when you play with good strikers,” he added.

“Cole is really dangerous in front of goal and his movement it really good, so it was quite easy to slip him in.

“It’s good for us attacking players to get on the scoresheet, it’s what we want as players.

“Every game is massive, we have to take this form, take this game and build on it.”
