The UK’s fastest growing energy drink, Furocity, and its founder Tyson Fury have backed his local side, Morecambe FC for the upcoming campaign.
The WBC Heavyweight Title holder and Morecambe icon sealed his record investment into the club as Fury’s energy brand becomes The Shrimps new ‘Official Sports Energy Partner’.
The partnership will feature the Furocity brand on the back of both home & away kits as well as being front and centre of the clubs warm up apparel for the 2023/24 campaign. The club will also benefit from a product agreement with Furocity.
In recent weeks Tyson’s energy brand Furocity announced it had grown 222% since last year and was now the UK’s fastest growing energy drink*. This was a huge milestone for the World’s leading heavyweight boxer’s brand, and it will now be showcased to new audiences around the globe as part of Morecambe FC’s football reach.
This partnership follows Tyson’s very generous sponsorship of the Morecambe FC women’s team last season and brings Fury and the Furocity brand further into the Morecambe FC family.
On the agreement, Morecambe FC Head of Commercial, Martin Thomas, has said, “We are extremely grateful to Tyson and the Furocity team for working with us and putting such a fantastic partnership together. The importance of working with people like Tyson and his team cannot be underestimated and is central to the continuing progression of our club.”
Ben Sadler, Morecambe FC CEO added “I would also like to thank and congratulate our Head of Commercial Martin Thomas who has been working on this significant partnership with Furocity for a significant period of time. His dedication and commitment to bringing Furocity into our club has been nothing short of remarkable and it is a major coup for us.”
Furocity Brand Manager, Amy Willsher commented, “We are thrilled to be supporting Morecambe FC this season with FUROCITY! We’re all about supporting local communities, and Morecambe being Tyson’s hometown it’s the perfect partnership. We look forward to the season ahead.
