This week marks the EFL's Week of Action, highlighting the positive impact of clubs and their charity partners within their local communities.
Morecambe FC Community Sports are leading the way in supporting a range of causes across Lancashire and certainly within Morecambe.
We wanted to highlight our work with local veterans on the EFL's Week of Action.
For many years now, MFCCS has been dedicated to the advancement and positive engagement of veterans within our local community. Specifically, we have focused on the social isolation and engagement of veterans within our local community.
The Veterans coffee mornings and social gatherings have been very popular and have allowed some of our most remarkable people to share their stories, experiences and memories with people who have shared similar pathways.
As well as the veterans themselves, we have also welcomed in special guests and speakers who talk about a range of experiences they have had including some who have been fundraising for Help for Heroes or making people aware of the support that is available in our local communty.
We currently have a vacancy within MFC Community Sports for a Veterans Project Officer if you feel you could positively impact the work we do with veterans, the link to the role is below.
