On Saturday 10 February, when Morecambe host Sutton United, we will be hosting our annual Academy Day at the Mazuma Mobile Stadium!
Our Academy Day is our own celebration of the work of the Academy at Morecambe FC, and helps to highlight its growth and development over the years.
Age groups from Under 7s up to Under 18s will be in attendance on Saturday afternoon, and will be situated in the Dennison Stand during the fixture, with players, parents and coaching staff present.
At half-time, the players and coaching staff will take part in lap of the pitch, where Shrimps' supporters will be able to show their appreciation for the efforts of all involved in the Academy programme.
Morecambe FC CEO Ben Sadler said: "We are delighted to be welcoming our Academy players, staff and their families to the game on Saturday to celebrate, and thank everyone for, all of the hard work, effort and commitment that they show."
"We have seen the development of the Academy over the years since it became Category 3 level, with many success stories through players coming into the First Team, being sold to other Clubs, as well as wonderful stories of players who may not make it on the pitch as a professional, but picked up skills and experiences during their time with us that serve them well as the move into the wider world."
