We sat down with Morecambe FC Community Sports CEO Stuart Glover to discuss the upcoming EFL Community Weekend.
The weekend is an opportunity to showcase the work of the Morecambe FC Community Sports programme, and the impact the work has within the local community.
To celebrate the upcoming Community Weekend, a number of Community Heroes have been recognised for their incredible work within the area. Throughout this week, the stories of the Community Heroes will be posted across the club's social media channels, with a presentation on the pitch before the match against Mansfield Town at the Mazuma Mobile Stadium.
"It's an opportunity for us as a community organisation to demonstrate the impact that we have on the community and the people that access our services and programmes," he said. "It also gives us the opportunity to show how closely we work with the football club."
"A lot of work goes on throughout the whole team, so we're really looking forward to the week."
