The Portuguese youngster, Andre Da Silva Mendez, signed his first professional contract with the club in May 2021.

Before his move to West Lancashire, the shot stopper spent two years with the SL Benfica academy as a 13-year-old before travelling to England for a new opportunity.
As well as being a professional goalkeeper, Da Silva Mendes achieved his Level Two coaching award in early 2021, a real sign of his eagerness and passion for the game.
Making his first team debut in November 2021 in a Papa John's Trophy fixture at home to Carlisle United, Da Silva had a 12 month extension triggered in his contract to keep him at the Mazuma Stadium until the end of the 2022/23 campaign at the earliest.
