The left sided forward spent time with Crystal Palace as a schoolboy before joining the Shrimps’ development squad based at Ellesmere Port.
After impressing for the reserve side throughout 2016/17, Deakin earned a trial with the first team during pre-season in 2017 and after strong performances in pre-season friendlies, the 21-year-old was rewarded with a professional contract.
