Defender Ryan McLaughlin joined the Shrimps in September 2021 on a one-year deal.
The right-back, who has played under manager Stephen Robinson before at Oldham Athletic in 2016, came through the ranks at Liverpool and enjoyed two loan spells with Barnsley and Aberdeen respectively.
McLaughlin left the Latics after making 62 appearances and joined fellow Lancashire side Blackpool before signing for Rochdale most recently where he made 55 appearances.
The experienced defender also has a wealth of international experience under his belt, having made five senior appearances and 32 youth appearances for Northern Ireland.
