Goalkeeper Adam Smith signed for the Shrimps in February 2022 on an initial deal until the end of the 2021/22 campaign.
The 29-year-old spent his youth career at Middlesbrough and Leicester City before joining Northampton Town permanently in 2015.
After spending two years with the Cobblers, the Sunderland-born man spent time at Bristol Rovers, Forest Green Rovers, Yeovil Town and Stevenage.
The shot stopper has played more than 240 games in professional football across a variety of League's and competitions including Sky Bet League's One and Two, the EFL and FA Cups and the National League.
Smith has kept more than 50 clean sheets in his career to-date.
After his arrival at Morecambe in February 2022, the goalkeeper signed a one-year extension that summer following the return of Derek Adams as manager.
