Defender undergoes operation
MORECAMBE defender Chris McCready had undergone an operation and will be out for the rest of the season.The consistent centre half has been playing through the pain barrier for the last few weeks and a scan this week diagnosed a problem that saw him go under the knife this week.
Boss Jim Bentley said: "Chris has been an absolute rock for us this season and has had this problem for some time. We have wrapped him up in cotton wool to be honest but the time was right to get the injury sorted so he can be be back in time for pre season.''
