Defender returns from ankle op

CHRIS McCready made his first appearance of the pre season today as the Shrimps drew 1-1 with Blackpool in a behind closed doors friendly.
McCready, who had an ankle operation during the pre season, played 45 minutes of the game at Blackpool and has reported no side effects from the run out much to the delight of boss Jim Bentley.
He said: "Chris has been outstanding for us over the past couple of seasons and hardly missed a game until this injury. It is important that we don't rush anything but he did really well and that was encouraging.''
Marcus Marshall, Danny Carlton, Will Bell  and Andy Parrish all missed out with niggles in a game that ended 1-1.
Tom Ince won and converted a penalty for Blackpool but the evergreen Stewart Drummond levelled in the second half when he volleyed home a Robbie Threlfall corner.
Drummond and Tony Diagne were the only members of the Morecambe squad to play the full 90 minutes.
Talking of the game Bentley said: "It was a really good workout for both sides and a good game for us to have.''
