Narrow defeat for reserves

AN early penalty saw the Shrimps' reserves slip to defeat at the Globe tonight.
The Shrimps went down in only the seventh minute when a Tyler Hudson slip led to a Walsall penalty which Danny Griffiths despatched calmly.
Two minutes later the Shrimps hit back and went close to levelling. Joe Mwasile went on a good run down the left and let fly with a right foot shot that hit the crossbar.
Tom Woods slotted home the rebound but was offside.
The second half failed to produce a clear chance with both defences very much on top.
Joe McGee forces Liam Roberts into a low save at his near post after a good run into the Walsall box and in the final stages of the game substitute James Roberts drilled a left foot shot over the bar from the edge of the area.
Arestidou pulled off a fine last minute to deny Walsall a second before Julian Gray fired over from the edge of the box.
