The Shrimps face Sheffield United in the first round of this year's Capital One Cup with Bentley hoping for an atmosphere similar to the one when his side beat Wolves at the same stage of the competition two seasons ago.
He said: "We have had some good nights in this competition and we are hoping for the same again on Tuesday night.
"The Wolves game a couple of years ago was brilliant and it led to one of the biggest nights in the club's history against Newcastle and that is what this competition can offer.
"It won't be easy because Sheffield United are a good side who reached the semi-final of the competition last season and will be looking to do the same again this year.
"But we have beaten some good sides in this cup over the years and that is our aim on Tuesday night.
"We were all disappointed to lose at Hartlepool on Saturday but we know we played some good football and deserved more from the game than we got.
"We will look for more of the same on Tuesday but we need to take our chances. We were wasteful on Saturday and were made to pay.''
Bentley added: "I really like the big cup nights at the Globe Arena. The atmosphere is always a bit special and it would be great to see a big crowd there.''
