Morecambe Ladies to face Stoke City Ladies at the Globe Arena on February 1st
Morecambe Ladies will take on Stoke City Ladies in the FA Cup 3rd round at the Globe Arena next month.
The ladies team have reached the 3rd round and face the Potters at the Globe on Sunday, February 1st after beating Burnley and Sheffield United in previous rounds.
Morecambe Ladies Manager Nick Barrett said: “At the end of the day we are a
Premier North side and we’re obviously progressing, but Stoke are a league above us so we’re underdogs. We’ll be well up for it though because I’ve got a great
bunch of girls.
“It’ll be a great day out for the girls playing at The Globe and maybe if we win we can draw an even bigger team.”
Morecambe first team boss Jim Bentley said: “It’s great to see the ladies are doing well and hopefully they can advance to the fourth round in front of a few extra supporters.”
The FA Cup isn’t the only cup run Morecambe Ladies have been involved in this
season, they beat Chorley 5-2 this month to reach the Lancashire Cup Final where they will face the winner of Preston North End and Blackburn Rovers’ semi final.
All support is welcomed to the game, which is a 12:00 KO. Admission is just £3 for adults and £1 for concessions.
