Shrimps sign Liverpool keeper on loan
THE Shrimps have today signed Liverpool goalkeeper Danny Ward on loan.
The 21-year-old, who has recently been on the bench for the Reds, joins the Shrimps for one month and is expected to make his debut against Carlisle on Saturday with Andreas Arestidou out through suspension.
Ward originally played for Wrexham before joining Liverpool. He has played for Wales at U21 level and has also appeared on the bench for the national squad deputising for Wayne Hennessey.
Shrimps' boss Jim Bentley said: "Danny is a highly regarded young goalkeeper and we look forward to working with him over the next few weeks."
Danny will wear the number 28 shirt.
