Isaac Lowe Title Bid

27 March 2015

Morecambe FC are backing Shrimps fan Isaac Lowe in his bid for boxing glory.

Jim Bentley and Ken McKenna paid a visit to watch Isaac Lowe train at Coastal ABC in the West End on Thursday.

The unbeaten Westgate Warrior fights for his first title when he takes on Lee Glover for the English featherweight belt in Blackburn on April 4.

Lowe, who wears the Shrimps badge on his ring gear and has followed the club since he was a boy, trained alongside McKenna during a session at the gym on West End Road.

On his big night the 21-year-old will become the first fighter born in the district to fight for a national title in more than 30 years.

Jim Bentley said: “Issac’s a big Morecambe fan and he’s one of our own Everyone at the club wishes him well for next week.

“Myself and Ken watched him training earlier this week, he looks razor sharp and is confident he can win and do his hometown club proud.”

Anyone wishing to attend the fight can call Isaac on 07534 947221 or Frank Harrington on 07789 261768 for tickets.
