Tranmere Rovers Reserves vs Morecambe Reserves Match Report

A YOUNG Morecambe side went down 3-1 to Tranmere at Rivacre Park.

Stewart Drummond's youngsters started the game well and took the lead through Harrison Roberts.

Lee Molyneux and Liam Davies went close for Rovers before Iain Hume drew Shaun Garnett's side level late in the first half when he shot past the advancing keeper into the bottom left corner.

The second half saw the Shrimps give their more experienced opponents a tough game but went 2-1 down seven minutes from time when Hume provided the assist for Jake Kirby to put Rovers ahead, with the midfielder shooting through the legs of the goalkeeper.

The win was sealed a few minutes later when Liam Davies turned and fired into the bottom corner.
