Morecambe Football Club has today announced that their 2016/17 replica merchandise and training wear will be available for sale at the beginning of September.
Our kit suppliers JD Sports have advised us that due to certain circumstances there is a delay to their original delivery schedule. From the latest information we have received HOME & AWAY replica shirts will be in-store for our home game v Leyton Orient on Sat 3rd September.
MFC will wear our HOME shirts with change shorts and socks for the seasons kick off versus Grimsby this Saturday. We are currently planning to wear our 16/17 AWAY kit for the first time versus Accrington Stanley on August 27th.
General Manager Mark Dixon commented: “Whilst we placed the order for training wear and playing kit within the required deadlines, problems can and do arise from time to time. We have been in regular contact with JD Sports since the end of last season, and although we were made aware that original delivery dates may be affected by issues within the manufacturing process, it is only now that we are able to make this statement. We have a very good working relationship with everyone we deal with at JD Sports since signing with them in 2012 and both organisations are extremely disappointed that we don’t have the new kits or training products to sell to the Morecambe fans so far.“
A spokesperson for JD Football said: “The kits and training wear were on schedule for sale pre-season however due to certain circumstances there is a regrettable delay. We would like to thank the fans for their patience and understanding.”
Anyone who would like to reserve their 16/17 HOME or AWAY replica shirt may do so by going to the CLUB SHOP and pre-paying.
Exact dates when all product will go on Sale from the Club Shop and online will be announced via our OWS and social media in due course.
