WE'LL GO TO SHREWSBURY WITH NO FEAR

1 December 2017

AARON Wildig says he is looking forward to going back to his old club Shrewsbury for the club's FA Cup second round tie on Saturday.

Aaron, who joined the Shrimps from the Shrews, said: "It's a tough draw without a doubt as they are a decent side and doing well this season.

"It's probably the toughest draw we could have had to be honest but we can go there without any fear. I don't think anyone will be expecting us to win and that is something that is in our favour and we have to see it as a bit of a free hit really and see it is a great opportunity to get our name into the hat for the third round draw.

"As a former player they are a club whose results I always look out for even though there are no players left I think from when I was there but they were good to me.''

As a self-confessed Hereford fan would he have liked to have come up against them after they won their first round tie.

"Yes and no,'' he said. "We played them when I was at Shrewsbury and they beat us so that wasn't a great day for me but it is great to see Hereford doing well again after so many lean years and I hope their run continues.''
