MILLS DISAPPOINTED SHRIMPS DIDN'T SEE OUT THE GAME

16 April 2019

ZAK Mills said he was disappointed that the Shrimps didn’t see out the game against his former club Grimsby on Saturday.

After taking the lead with an 80th minute penalty Morecambe looked on course for a fourth successive home win until Grimsby levelled two minutes from time.

Mills said: “I never thought we were going to concede.

“The conditions weren’t great and both teams had to battle the wind but I thought we were going to get the win so disappointed we didn’t hold on.

“I know I should be happy with the point but to be honest I was gutted that we didn’t hold on for the three points because with the teams around us dropping points we could have secured our safety once and for all.

“We should be safe but we still need to make sure we take nothing for granted and go to Mansfield confident of getting something.''
