BRADFORD PREVIEW

31 December 2019

The Shrimps travel to the Utilita Energy Stadium on New Year's Day to face Gary Bowyer's Bradford City as Derek Adams looks to bounce back from the narrow defeat at Cambridge on Sunday.

The Bantams are unbeaten in their last six matches, beating Mansfield Town 2-0 last time out on Sunday afternoon.

The Shrimps sit one point above bottom side Stevenage and Derek Adams is calling for more consistency from his players in order to gain the points they need to move away from danger.

Adams said: "Bradford have had a very good season so far, they started off slowly and gathered momentum.

"They're in a good position, they have an experienced squad and they're obviously looking for automatic promotion this season.

"We go into the game coming off the back of the Cambridge match, where we played well in large parts of the game and I do see some of the play that we’ve had recently is very good but our possession and final pass into the penalty area has to be better.

"We have to complete the cross or pass to get ourselves an opportunity at goal and we do see some play that we've had recently that is very good.

"We just need that on a more consistent basis for us to pick up points, for us to win games to get us moving further up the league."
