ELLISON | "We'll go to Blackpool & play with freedom"

7 November 2019

Kevin Ellison has said this Saturday's Emirates FA Cup tie at Bloomfield Road is "a massive game for the football club," but the Shrimps will go there and "play with freedom."

The veteran winger who took temporary charge at the Globe alongside Barry Roche after the departure of Jim Bentley last week is a big fan of the competition.

"For me personally, I love the FA Cup, I love the underdogs getting results against bigger teams and we'll go there with freedom looking to enjoy the game," said Ellison.

"We're the underdog, we can go and enjoy the occasion and hopefully get the result and put ourselves into the next round.

"If you look at Blackpool, they're the bigger club, they were in the Premier League a few years ago.

"Nobody will be giving us a chance, but we'll go there, express ourselves and as I say hopefully we can do the business and get the club some money."
