Jordan Slew says he is looking forward to the challenge of Sunday’s FA Cup third round tie against Chelsea.
The Shrimps’ star said: “It is one of the biggest games I will have ever been involved in and it is something I embrace.
“It’s always good to test yourself against some of the best players in the world and I’m looking forward to it.’’
Talking about the recent break with players having to self isolate for 10 days he said: “Time will tell if the break has been good for us but it is hard as a professional footballer to suddenly stop doing what you do for 10 days and then go again.
“It’s been tough being at home and not being able to do much because of the Covid rules but it is the same for a lot of clubs and we’ll just have to get on with it as best as we can.
“We were all a bit rusty at our first session but the gaffer will work us hard to get us back up and running over the next few sessions and we will be all good to go on Sunday.’’
