Players and backroom staff visited the Children's Ward at Royal Lancaster Infirmary this week to give gifts and bring some festive cheer!
We spoke to Stuart Glover, CEO of Morecambe FC Community Sports, to discuss the hospital visit.
"It was always tradition to take the first team players and staff to the hospital. Last year, after COVID, it was quite difficult to get in, but this year we've done it again," he said.
"Faz [Rawson] ordered a whip-round with the players and the staff, and then Amberly has been out and done all the shopping, and liased with the hospital and organised for us to take a load of presents over today and been able to see some of the kids on the Children's Ward at Royal Lancaster Infirmary.
"You can see from the kids who are in there. Thankfully the wards weren't too full which is a good thing, there was a young lad in there who had broken his legs playing football. To have the football team around his bed getting pictures just brightens his day.
"It's one of the best parts of our jobs, to be able to go and deploy the players out into the community. Christmas at the hospital is a tradition that we want to carry on doing."
