Introducing our brand new team of Supporter Liaison Officers!
We're delighted to welcome Antony Wilding and Gareth Jones as Morecambe FC SLOs, they will be joining Christine and Andrew Pattison who will also be on hand at every home game to assist home and away supporters when required.
Our team of SLOs will provide a strong line of communication between the Club and its supporters as regularly and frequent as required.
You'll see our team communicate with the SLO of the opposing club online and exchange advice and information to assist both sets of fans to enjoy the best possible matchday experience alongside the Community Sports team.
On matchdays, our SLOs will be the main point of contact for both home and away supporters to provide information, answer queries and take feedback on board.
Speaking following his appointment, Gareth said: "I'm excited about the new role and what opportunities and lasting memories I can help create for the fans of the Club and myself.
"I'm hoping to make a positive impact for the club and the fans and to be able to provide an important link between the Club and supporters.
"I'm also looking forward to working with other SLOs up and down the country to improve matchdays for home and away fans, and sharing ideas to make the Mazuma Mobile Stadium a place football fans want to visit."
Antony has been a matchday volunteer at the Mazuma for the last couple of years, and he's looking forward to an exciting new chapter, saying: "I was mainly welcoming away fans to the stadium and acting as Christie the Cat's minder and I've loved being involved.
"Hopefully, with this new role, we can be a contact point for fans in the stadium for any issues or problems. We'll be a link between the fans and the Club which is something we haven't had before.
"To begin with, on matchdays, we'll be outside the stadium until about 30 minutes before kick-off and then we'll be wandering around inside.
"We'll also be available to contact outside of matchdays via social media etc, so please come and say hello and let us know what's good and what's not so good!"
