The midfielder picks up his second Goal of the Month award for his well-timed strike at the LNER Stadium against the Imps.
The Shrimps were 2-0 down, when the ball was put into the box by Cooney and chested down by Bedeau, to land perfectly on the edge of the penalty area for Diagouraga to blast home.
With 48.3% of the vote, Toums says he’s very happy to pick up the accolade.
“Yeah it feels very good,” Diagouraga said.
“You know, it’s not something I expected to win one of in my career, so to win two back-to-back, it’s really good.
“Jacob [Bedeau] chested the ball, as soon as I saw the ball going up, he tried to come towards the ball, I shouted leave it," he added.
“I knew by the connection that the ball was going to end up in the net, sometimes it just feels perfect and thankfully it flew in.”
