Goalkeeper Connor Ripley signed for Morecambe in the summer of 2022 on a one-year deal.

Born in Middlesbrough, Ripley spent time between the academy's of Boro and Blackburn Rovers.

After signing a professional deal with the Tees Valley club, he experienced a flurry of loan spells, eight in total, at Oxford United, Bradford City, Östersund, Motherwell, Oldham Athletic, Burtion Albion, Bury and Accrington Stanley.

In January 2019, Ripley's seven year stay with his boyhood club came to an end after agreeding a deal with Championship outfit Preston North End.

During his time at Deepdale, he made nine appearances across various competitions, including the Championship, FA Cup and Carabao Cup, before signing an emergency loan deal with League Two outfit Salford City.

A brief return to East Lancashire saw the 6ft 3 man unable to stake a claim for the number one shirt, which ultimately freed him up to join the Shrimps in June 2022, where he was named Club captain by manager Derek Adams.
